Sumit has over 18 years of professional experience and focuses on Disputes practice of the firm.

Sumit is an Advocate on Record (AOR) at Supreme Court of India for more than 10 years and manages the cases filed by CAM, AOR before the Supreme Court. He advises and represents leading corporates, foreign firms, Government Sector and PSUs in varied fields of dispute resolution, arbitration, advisory and legal strategy. He regularly appears before Supreme Court, various High Courts, tribunals and other judicial forums across the country.

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (APSEZ) on certain aspects of the transaction in acquiring stakes in Krishnapatnam Port Co. Ltd.
ETF, Vinchi Group, France (being member of a JV) in relation to disputes under a construction contract with RVNL, India.
Adv Partners, Soft Bank, Accenture, Azure Power etc. on various legal issues and formulating legal strategy.
Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) in arbitration proceedings under a commercial supply contract with State Trading Corporation. Also represented JSPL before Supreme Court on certain environmental issues in an appeal from National Green Tribunal.
Represented consortium of banks (led by State Bank of India and Rural Electrification Corporation) before High Court of Andhra Pradesh, NCLT Hyderabad, NCLAT Delhi and Supreme Court for recovery of dues from Meenakshi Energy Limited and Indian Power Corporation Limited.
Represented consortium of banks (led by IDBI) before Supreme Court, DRAT and DRT Delhi for recovery of dues from KMP Expressways Ltd.
IL&FS Securities Services Ltd. (ISSL) in Supreme Court in relation to the issue of jurisdiction of SEBI and ISSL disputes with a trading member and Dalmia Bharat Group.
SAL Group, Ahmedabad in their commercial disputes with Sabarmati Gas Limited before NCLT, NCLAT and Supreme Court, SAL steel industry environmental issues before NGT and commercial disputes before Supreme Court.
