Relevant Experience

Represented an offshore private equity fund in an international commercial arbitration relating to enforcement of its exit rights from an Indian real estate company.
Represented an offshore private equity fund in an international commercial arbitration relating to enforcement of its “Reserved Matter” rights and other shareholder rights pertaining to its investment in an Indian company in the construction business.
Represented Indian promoters in proceedings before the Bombay High Court, Supreme court and NCLT arising out of shareholder disputes with their German joint venture partner in the renewable energy sector.
Represented an Indian sports authority in international arbitration proceedings initiated against it by a foreign sports authority to claim damages for an alleged breach of contract.
Represented a Dutch development bank in proceedings before the Bombay High Court and Supreme Court relating to enforcement of securities (including guarantees) provided by an Indian company and its promoters.
Represented the trustee company and asset management company of a mutual fund in legal proceedings initiated against them by an investor claiming damages for alleged loss of investment owing to alleged negligence and breach of duty of care.
Representing one of India’s largest private electricity distribution companies in arbitration proceedings arising out of a share purchase agreement and governed by the MCIA Rules.
Representing one of India’s leading engineering conglomerates in ad-hoc arbitration proceedings arising out of a marketing and distributorship contract.
Represented a listed private sector bank in disputes relating to appointment of directors on its Board.
Representing a leading and listed power generation, transmission, and distribution company in labour disputes before the Industrial Court and the Bombay High Court.
