Prarambh is India’s first Legaltech incubator launched by cam in February 2019, with the aim of nurturing young entrepreneurs and developing bespoke legal technology solutions for the Indian legal market.

A collaborative effort between industry experts, startups, developers and other stakeholders, Prarambh is firmly focussed on driving innovation and fostering a spirit of entrepreneurship. In addition, as a well-rounded knowledge centre, dedicated to developing legal service tools for the real world, it provides a creative thinking space, mentorship, as well as subject matter expertise. This initiative has considerably bridged the legaltech gap that existed prior to its launch. This was done by ensuring domestic talent is identified and given all the support they need to grow and transform the domain of Indian law through technological innovations.

Why Prarambh?

Prarambh is a pioneering initiative, whereby cam’s expertise with regards to the legal market and the business of law are focused and directed towards a singular goal – optimum development of the selected startups. This is done by assisting in product development, helping them navigate the legal and regulatory compliances, and fine tuning the business skills of the startups. cam fosters these startups by investing its time, expertise, and providing market specific insights towards the improvement of the product, thereby propelling them towards success. With two cohorts concluded, cam has a demonstrable expertise in the mentorship of legaltech startups, taking incremental steps towards the transformation of Legaltech in India as a whole.

What we do at Prarambh

Prarambh follows a structured flow. After a stringent selection process, every startup that becomes part of the Prarambh ecosystem goes through a 12-stage programme that offers end-to-end solutions, from helping them set up, brand building, to financial management planning, strategic planning, and networking. Prarambh provides everything that is required to give them a competitive edge. Once a market-ready solution is developed to address a specific need, the startups are provided exposure to investors and given the necessary support to reach the largest audience possible.
