Edward James is a Partner with the Chennai office of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and is part of the Dispute Resolution & General Corporate practice groups.

Edward has been with the office since March, 2012 and has significant experience across a wide range of civil and commercial law related litigations in the High Court of Madras, National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Debt recovery tribunals, labour courts and consumer dispute redressal forum. He has also worked on arbitration matters across various sectors and was appointed as an advocate commissioner by the Chennai Consumer Forum in a construction related dispute.

In addition, Edward has also advised a number of clients on various corporate and employment law matters. He has been involved in numerous matters pertaining to mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and collaborations and has worked on transactions across sectors such as auto components, services, pharmaceuticals and real estate. He has previously worked under the tutelage of Mr. Justice Thanikachalam (Retd.) and Mr. Justice Sampath Kumar (Retd.) of the Madras High Court as a judicial clerk.
